A:

To scale to a specific size:

  1. Choose Select All from the Edit menu to scale the entire image. (You can sale part of an image by selecting just the desired area using the Selection tool.)

NOTE: You must have something selected in order to apply a filter to it.
  2. Choose Filters from the Tools menu.
  3. In the Filter Inspector panel that appears, scroll to the right and click the Scale Filter button -
  4. Click to select Size To, type the desired Width and Height and click Apply.

To reduce an image by a specified amount:

  1. Choose Select All from the Edit menu to scale the entire image. (You can sale part of an image by selecting just the desired area using the Selection tool.)
  2. Choose Filters from the Tools menu.
  3. In the Filter Inspector panel that appears, scroll to the right and click the Scale Filter button.
  4. Click to select Size By, type the desired Width and Height and click Apply.

NOTE: The height and width of the selection will be multiplied by the values given.

NOTE: Scaling a .tiff image up will cause pretty ugly results, there is not enough information in a .tiff image for it to fill the additional size with appropriate information.
