Q:
The Show Button Hide Button Function sometimes works unexpectedly:
- The buttons are visible and the Menu displays Show Buttons
- When the Show Buttons menu command is selected, a grey bar above the buttons appears
- The Menu switches to Hide Buttons
- When Hide Buttons is selected the grey bar above the buttons disappears but the buttons remain visible.
Is there any way to fix this?
A:
We have seen this problem before. This happens after you choose Hide Buttons, and then Save and Close the document. If you then reopen the document, the buttons show up, but the menu says Show Buttons. As a workaround: Select Show Buttons, which makes the grey bar appear, and then Save and Close the document. When you reopen it, everything will be back to normal. Make sure you Save and Close with the buttons showing.
