Q:
TaskMaster crashed with this message:
"A fatal error has occurred. please report this to Lighthouse Design. Assertion failed: File GPEvent.m. line 108"
Is there a workaround?
A:
We are aware of this bug and it is fixed in the 1.7 release of TaskMaster. Meanwhile, if you are running 1.5 or 1.6, we believe we have found a workaround to this problem. The crash occurs when you cut/copy and then paste tasks which have dependencies on tasks that occur later in the outline. (For example, if you have task 2 dependent on task 3, a task below it, instead of task 1, a task above it.)
The usual model is to have a task depend on tasks that occur prior to (above) it in the outline. However there are cases where you would have these reverse dependencies, and TaskMaster gets confused when they are pasted in particular. If you remove such dependencies before copying and pasting those tasks, you should be able to avoid this crash.
