Enhancements and Bug Fixes in OpenWrite 2.1:
Interface Fixes:
Format -> View -> Configure has been changed to Format -> View -> View Flags.
Format ->Text -> Caps has been changed to Format ->Text -> Small Caps.
The tabbing order is incorrect in the Document Layout section of the Inspector panel. Also, it does not loop back to the top of the tab sequence. FIXED
Bug Fixes:
- When using the SuperScript button (up arrow) on the Inspector panel and then using the SubScript button (down arrow) to move the text down again, it doesn't move down. It actually continues to move the text up. FIXED
- The Sentence caps, in the Change Case panel (Format->Text) does not recognize "?" as an end of sentence. FIXED
- New style documents saved in ~/Library/Lighthouse/OpenWrite/Styles do not show up in Style Document Toolbox window, even when Update List is chosen from the Operations popup. It sees them in either path if you rename the file to a .xowstyle file. FIXED
- Template documents, when opened, have the template name at the top of the document. It should be Untitled. FIXED
-
Editing an HTML link tag does not indicate the document has unsaved changes (broken "X" in the upper left corner). FIXED
Books:
- The well in the Import Chapters panel does not accept files dragged from the Workspace. FIXED
- If you Import multiple chapters at once, they are arranged in alphabetic order in the Import Chapters panel and are not in the correct order. FIXED
- The book window does not update status properly. It shows documents open that are closed. FIXED
- When a Table of Contents is first created, the x in the close box is never broken. FIXED
- When a book is printed, OpenWrite opens all of the documents in the book, which then have to be closed one by one. FIXED. Chapters which are opened by the printing code are now closed automatically when the chapter has been printed.
Indexing:
- When building an index, even if 15 occurrences of the same word appear on the same page, the page number should only appear once. FIXED.
- The page numbers should always be in ascending order, regardless of in which order the files were marked for indexing. Currently, if you index Chapter 6 before Chapter 3, the page number references are out of sequential order. Page numbers are now sorted in global page number order. FIXED
- An internal error has occurred. (An Objective-C object of class XA_GraphicTextFrame did not understand the message shows Clip Path) FIXED
Note:
In order to use the filters for compatibility for products such as Microsoft, Lotus, FrameMaker, etc. you must install each filter separately. Using the Installer on the CD installs the FilterInstaller.app in LocalApps. Then run FilterInstaller.app and choose which filters you want to install. Installing all filters will take approximately 14MB of disk space.
