Q:

How do I view multimedia images and hear sounds around the net?

In order to play or view the various media which you find around the net, you will need "helper" applications which understand the formats in question.

For sounds, you can use a public-domain utility called GISO, which is a wrapper around the UNIX Sox sound utility.

For images, you should retrieve OmniImageFilter.service and OmniImage.app from our ftp site.
