What is GISO?

GISO provides an easy way to convert sounds to and from different sound formats and also preview NEXTSTEP sounds. GISO is actually just a wrapper for Sox. Sox is a filter program with the ability to convert in and out of many (all that I know of) sound formats. It will move in and out of .au, .aiff, .voc, .hcom, .wav (etc.), and any raw format you can describe with its parameters. Its interface is very complicated and so that is why GISO was written.

The files:
GISO.MAB.v3.3.tar.gz; binary
GISO.src.v3.3.tar.gz; source
should replace any existing versions of GISO and sound by filed under Sound or Utilities.
