Q:

I was rather disappointed when I found out, that TIFF files dragged into a diagram are stored uncompressed as typed streams of NXImages. This blew up a diagram to 1.6 MByte, while the three (lzw-compressed) TIFF files had less than 20 KByte each. I'm always a little concerned about resource usage. I'd prefer Diagram to store the original TIFF files, as does the current version of Concurrence.

While implementing Diagram we had to leave it as typed streams. Future versions of Diagram will do this correctly. Concurrence does this correctly.
