Concurrence Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

I'm trying to print slides to my film recorder, which only handles .eps and .tiff files. From Concurrence, is there any way that slides can be exported to .eps or .tiff?

A:

In Concurrence 2, you can save slides individually as eps or tiff files. You do a Save To... tiff or eps, and Concurrence creates a folder in which it saves a separate tiff or eps image for every slide. (Slide1.eps, Slide2.eps, etc.)

Concurrence 1 doesn't currently support any direct method of saving to EPS files. Converting PS files isn't likely to work, since PS files may contain multiple pages, where EPS files are single images which have no concept of pages associated with them. You can get EPS images of your slides out of Concurrence 1.x by doing the following:

- 1. In the slide browser, select a slide

- 2. Choose Copy from the Edit menu

- 3. Launch the Preview application, found in /NextApps

- 4. In the Preview application, choose the Paste command from the Edit menu.

-5. A window titled "Pasteboard" will appear that contains an EPS representation of the slide you copied from Concurrence. You can save this to an EPS file using the Save As... command found in Preview's File menu.

You will have to repeat these steps for each slide in your presentation.
