Q:
Why does the Print Preview comes out with greyscale text? This happens in both Concurrence and Diagram!
A:
When previewing files that have colored text in either Concurrence or Diagram, if you have a black/white printer selected, the color doesn't come out right. If you have a color printer selected, the color looks fine.
The printer you have selected in the print panel when you do the preview governs the PostScript output. If you have a greyscale printer selected, the preview makes a grey scale estimation for the color of the text. (Only the text, not the other colors.) You need to select a color printer to get a color printer definition for a correct preview image.
There is some debate at NeXT Computer about what the "right" behavior is. Apparently, someone has modified the text object to display gray when a b/w printer is selected.
NEXTSTEP does all the work of the print preview for applications (i.e. we did not write any of that code,) so we'll have to wait until they provide a fix for this problem.
