Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

How can I get the appropriate attachments to be removed from the document wrapper?

A:

It's true that we do not clean up images very well when cutting topics or slides out of a presentation. The images associated with a slide do not get deleted from the file wrapper when its topic or slide is deleted.

If you select an image (e.g. a company logo on a slide) explicity and hit the delete key, it will be removed from the file wrapper.

With this in mind, I'd suggest the following:

1. Work in the slide views instead of the outlines

2. Select the slides you want to extract, do a Copy

3. Go to the new slide presentation, Paste in the slides

4. Go back to the first presentation, select all the images explicity and delete them

5. Delete the original slides

You may have to reformat the new outline, but you can use the Format ->Copy/Paste all Masters to get master formats from 1 outline to the next.
