Concurrence Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

I have a document that I want to place into a Concurrence presentation. It's an RTFD file and I did a Print->Save, changed the file extension to .eps and tried to paste it into my Concurrence presentation, but it doesn't image.

A:

Print->Saving a document doesn't create imageable EPS, it creates a PS file. We don't image PS files on Concurrence slides since doing so can create substantial PS errors in the window server. PS documents are meant to describe documents which can have multiple pages. EPS is designed to display "encapsulated" images which only display on one page. Simply changing the filename extension to EPS does not convert the file. EPS files include headers and bounding box information that are not a part of PS files. You might try Tailor or one of the "shareware" PS to EPS converter programs available on the net to convert needed files from PS to EPS.
